No food or drink, except water at least 3 hours before. Be sure to eat a light, healthy meal before you start your fast and avoid drinking alcohol.
As part of the appointment we will be conducting a non-invasive scan of the liver. Please wear comfortable clothes that allows access to scan over the right side of your rib cage.
Each visit lasts about 30 minutes, though we recommend you give yourself a 45-minute window for check-in, wait times and more.
We recommend you wait 8 weeks before completing the liver scan if you have taken part in intense physical activity for example a marathon. We do not recommend you have the scan within 4 weeks of a recent illness or taken antibiotics or if you are pregnant.
