HPV is a common virus affecting the mouth, throat, and genitals, and has over 200 different strains. It is estimated that by age 27 most sexually active people will have been exposed to one of more strains of HPV, usually without their knowledge. The HPV vaccine (Gardasil 9 vaccine) can help to protect against several trains of HPV which can lead to cervical cancer, genital cancers & genital warts and is recommended for women and men aged 45 and under.

You may experience some mild side effects after the HPV vaccine including dizziness, nausea, headache, or fever. These are common and wear off in a few days.
Before Your Vaccine
You will need to disclose if you are pregnant, or have a history of bleeding disorders, or a weakened immune system for any reason as this can affect your eligibility for receiving a HPV vaccine. <p>• It’s very important to let the nurse know if you have any allergies, especially if you have had an allergic reaction to eggs or any of the ingredients in the vaccine.
