Why Get Tested
UTIs are usually caused by bacteria and can affect different parts of the urinary tract, including your bladder (cystitis), urethra (urethritis), or kidneys. Females are more likely to get a UTI, it is currently estimated that around 50% of all women in the UK have had a UTI, and 20-30% of women will also have a recurrent infection.
Symptoms are varied and can include pain when urinating, sudden urge to pass urine, feeling that the bladder has not emptied completely, cloudy urine, or pain in the lower abdomen.
