Results in 10 working daysWhy should you test
Fast for 6 hours before your appointment - you can drink water, but no food or other drinks during this time. During the appointment, you'll be asked to drink a special solution before completing the breath test. Once taken, your fast is broken - don't schedule any other fasting tests on the same day. If you've recently taken antibiotics, PPIs (like omeprazole) or bismuth-containing medicines, please wait at least 2 weeks before booking this test, as this may affect your results.

What To Know Before Your Appointment
Fasting Required (6 hours)
No food or drink, including water at least 6 hours before. Be sure to eat a light, healthy meal before you start your fast and avoid drinking alcohol.
Medication
If you are taking any of the following medications, it is preferable to stop taking them for at least 2 weeks prior to your appointment:, Omeprazole (e.g. Losec), Lansoprazole (e.g. Zoton), Pantoprazole (e.g. Protium), Esomeprazole (e.g. Nexium), Rabeprazole (e.g. Pariet), Ranitidine (e.g. Zantac), Cimetidine (e.g. Tagamet). If you cannot or do not wish to stop these medications, please remember to mention that you have continued these medications at your appointment.
