PSA levels rise naturally as men get older. Although levels can be raised in prostate cancer, raised levels may be due to prostatitis, an enlarged prostate, urinary tract infection, vigorous exercise, sexual activity or some medications. Only collect your sample Monday – Thursday (Royal Mail) or Monday – Wednesday (An Post). Return your sample the same day as collection using the prepaid return envelope before noon. Avoid taking your sample on or close to a public holiday.

Get results
Once the lab receives your sample, your results will be ready 2-3 working days afterwards. Your results will be sent to the email address provided.
